Electronic pressure measurement

Everything from one source WIKA offers a complete range of electronic pressure measuring instruments: pressure sensors, pressure switches, pressure transmittersand process transmitters for the measurement of gauge, absolute and differential pressure. These instruments come supplied with standardised current or voltage output signals, interfaces and protocols for various field buses. Whether ceramic thick film, metal thin film or piezo-resistive, WIKA develops and produces the full range of today’s leading sensor technologies.

Mechatronic pressure measurement

A clever solution with many advantages: As a result of the almost unlimited options for different combinations of mechanical measuring systems, switch contacts, output signals and electrical connections, an extraordinary range of instrument variants is possible. Due to the synthesis of the mechanical display with the switch contact or transmitter function, it is not only possible to display measured values without the need for external power, but also to monitor limit values or to control processes. The portfolio is complemented by mechanical pressure switches with a high switching power.

Diaphragm seals

Tested millions of times over indicating pressure gauges for gauge, absolute and differential pressure. For the optimal solution for the widest range of applications, there is a choice of measuring systems in Bourdon tube, diaphragm element and capsule element technologies. For the various requirements in industrial and process instrumentation there are pressure elements in copper alloy, stainless steel or special materials available. These instruments cover scale ranges from 0 … 0.2 INWC to 0 … 100,000 psi, and indication accuracies of up to 0.1 %.

Mechanical pressure measurement

Internationally recognised and valued are WIKAdiaphragm seals,fitted with pressure gauges, pressure transducers, pressure transmitters etc., for the most difficult of measuring tasks. The measuring instruments can therefore be used at extreme temperatures from -130 to +752 °F, and with aggressive, corrosive, heterogeneous, abrasive, highly viscous or toxic media. The optimal diaphragm seal designs, materials and filling media are available for each application.

Electrical temperature measurement

For each temperature range the suitable solution: The WIKA product portfolio includes thermocouples, resistance thermometers (PTC and NTC) with integrated connector or connected cable and versions with connection head. Measuring ranges from -328 to +2,912 °F are covered. Temperature switches, analogue and digital temperature transmitters, temperature controllers and digital indicators complement our range of products.

Mechatronic temperature measurement

As a result of the integration of switch contacts and output signals into mechanical temperature measuring instruments, WIKA can offer a wide variety of combined instruments. With switch contacts the pointer position triggers a change-over when a measured value either falls below or exceeds a preset value. Electrical output signals are realised via an additional, independent sensor circuit. Alternatively, a standardised analogue output signal can be generated by means of an angle encoder. The portfolio is complemented by mechanical temperature switches.

Mechanical temperature measurement

Our dial indicating thermometers work on thebimetal,expansion or gas actuation principle. This enables scale ranges of -328to +1292 °F in different class accuracies, response times and resilience to environmental influences. Diverse connection designs, stem diameters and individual stem lengths enable a flexible measuring point design. Dial indicating thermometers with capillaries are particularly versatile. All thermometers, if needed, are suited for operation in a thermowell.

Thermowells

For demanding operating conditions WIKA thermowells are available both in solid-machined and fabricated designs. The variants offered differ mainly in their designs; with flanges, with threads or for welding. Furthermore, thermowells are available in Van Stone design and with connections for sanitary applications. The choice of material and manufacturing to customer requirements ensures optimal protection of the sensor and precise measurements.

Level measurement

We operate on your level. WIKA has a comprehensive range of level measuring instruments available for temperatures up to 842 °F, densities from 400 kg/m³ and pressure ranges up to 7,250 psi. The product spectrum includes bypass level indicators, sight glass level indicators, magnetic float switches and optoelectronic switches. Customer-specific special designs complete the WIKA offering.

Primary flow measurement

Orifice plates,meter runs, flow nozzles, Venturi tubes and pitot tubes are part of our portfolio of primary flow elements and restriction orifices. The wide range of our products is able to cover the majority of industrial applications. Customised solutions can be developed to meet your special needs.

Calibration technology

Highest precision for each requirement. WIKA offers a broad product spectrum of calibration instruments for the physical measured values of pressure and temperature, and for electrical measured values. A multitude of specific patents ensure unmatched performance characteristics with many of our calibration instruments. The range of services comprises the calibration of pressure and temperature measuring instruments in the WIKA-owned accredited DKD/DAkkS calibration laboratories and a mobile service to calibrate your instruments on site.
